Tom Flanagan & Megs Morley

Peaks of Present, Sheets of Past

Tom Flanagan & Megs Morley's collaborative work over the last number of years has been an ongoing investigation into the language of cinema and its relationship to history and memory.
Peaks of Present, Sheets of Past presents a selection of moving image and film works by the artists, exploring real and imagined politically complex sites and forgotten histories. In their work they attempt to intervene into collective understandings of the present, exploring the space between images, memory, knowledge and action.

Highlights of the exhibition include The Question of Ireland, a new cross-disciplinary three screened installation including contributions by political activist Bernadette Devlin, sociologist Kieran Allen and playwright Grace Dyas. Also highlighted are the first presentation of a new 16mm film work A History of Stone, Origin and Myth and a cinema screening of their 2012 feature length non-narrative documentary Aughty on the opening night, 5th December, this event is free but registration is required, for more information and to reserve your place click here.
