Tamsin Snow & Sarah Tynan

RESORT

Tamsin Snow & Sarah Tynan’s collaborative work encompasses painting, video, photography, CGI animation and sculpture. Their work focuses on the architecture of transient spaces and derives from their ongoing investigation into the legacies of modernist architecture and the relationship between art, architecture and design. For this exhibition at the Mermaid Arts Centre, they will present a newly commissioned body of work supported by the Mermaid, Arts Council of Ireland and the Wicklow Arts Office.

TAMSIN SNOW lives and works in Dublin and London. She completed a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University, London (2008) and an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art, London (2012). Recent exhibitions include Dead Rubber, UEL Project space, London; Dazed X Confused Emerging Artist Award, Royal Academy, London (2015); Lobby Part I & II, Oonagh Young Gallery, Dublin (2015) and Pavilion, Store, London and is the recipient of the HIAP/ TBG+S Residency Exchange 2017.

SARAH TYNAN lives and works in Dublin and London. She completed a BA in Painting at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (2009) and an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, London (2012) Recent exhibitions include SWAP UK/Ukraine, British Council, Kiev, Ukraine; Dead Rubber, UEL Project space, London; Dazed X Confused Emerging Artist Award, Royal Academy, London (2015); Lobby Part I & II, Oonagh Young Gallery, Dublin (2015); Pavilion, Store, London; Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Spike Island, Bristol and ICA, London (2014); Notes on an Autobiography, ASC Gallery, London (2014)
