Futureworld

Futureworld was an exhibition of works that were a result of Beattie’s ongoing investigations into everyday scientific phenomena. The artist used notions of elementary physics to illustrate the human desire to understand what surrounds us. The work examined the nature of scientific experimentation as a process that seeks to achieve greater knowledge through an engagement with materials. Using a series of sculptures and sound works, Futureworld attempted to re-imagine this quest for the unknown.
