Fionna Murray

Night Work

Fionna Murray’s paintings address themes of separation, memory and transition.
Her understated images make reference to ideas of home and an ordering of the natural world, but they are not ‘homely’. Instead they hint at fleeting moments of loneliness and insight in the midst of the everyday and negotiate slippages between the real and the imaginary.

Born in London Fionna Murray now lives and works in Co. Clare. She has exhibited widely throughout Ireland with solo shows at The Rubicon Gallery, Dublin, The Galway Arts Centre and The Dock, Co. Leitrim. Her works are included in both corporate and private collections in Ireland and abroad.
