In celebration of Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland's day of free creativity for young people, we are excited to welcome CreateSchool to Mermaid to host a BrickFlicks stop motion Lego animation workshops using minifigures & handmade sets.

Participants will learn how to design their own sets, script, storyboard, film, edit and produce their own mini masterpiece. In a BrickFlicks workshop You Create the Story - and make your Lego character come alive!

All you need to bring is your favourite Lego character to cast as the star of your film.

With plenty of hands-on learning and simple demonstrations, you will work in small groups and learn the basics of Stop Motion Animation with Lego and some cool tips & tricks to make your own Lego movie! All with some simple materials and an iPad. The workshop is suitable for those new to stop motion, those looking to refresh their skills or for young animators who are already making stop motion films and want to take their skills to the next level. All equipment (including iPads) supplied. Just bring your own mini figure and your imagination!
