Agathe loves her job in Shakespeare & Co bookshop. But she dreams of finally finishing one of the many stories she starts writing and finding a great romance like the ones in the novels of her favourite author, Jane Austen. When an unexpected invitation to the Jane Austen Writers' Residency in England lands in her lap, Agathe is in for an eye-opening and life-changing experience. Encouraged by her eccentric co-residents to explore her true self, Agathe realises it’s time to take control. Jane Austen Wrecked My Life is a breezy, smart exploration of competing modern desires for both connection and escapism, while also delving into how past heartbreaks can cause us to live like supporting characters in our own lives.
