Juanita’s Big Problem is a 40-minute interactive environmental show by leading female clown Angelica Santander for children and young people.

Juanita wants to lift the lid on your recycling bin. What should we do with all this plastic? Where does all that plastic we recycle actually go? What can we do to stop it? Juanita can’t answer these questions on her own – she needs you to help her. So she invites the audience to assist in fulfilling her quest for a plastic-free world. Using clowning, plastic pollution is tackled in an provocative, entertaining and ridiculous way. An important, urgent and utterly hilarious show full of hope for our future.

Angelica Santander
Angelica Santander is a Clown, director originally from Chile who has been based in Dublin since 2002. She graduated from the FETAC Technical Theatre course, Inchicore College, 2005 and completed a master’s programme in Theatre Studies, St Patrick’s college Dublin, 2009. Her artistic work combines theatrical, circus and clowning elements, she strives to create original work that exposes and questions the essence of our humanity in a genuine and compassionate way whilst exploring themes that are relevant to our times,to create challenging and inspiring performances that will fascinate audiences of all ages and shapes.Her latest work “Juanita’s Talk ” has been presented as part of “ Scene and Heard Festival” Smock Alley and “Daring Dames Circus Festival” by Circus 250.
