This workshop is aimed at adults but is suitable for all ages. Our surroundings are the perfect starting point for drawing; Our Home will inspire us to look at our familiar place from a different perspective. We will observe our space through reflections in windows and use pencil drawing to explore line, light and mark making.
Genevieve Harden is a socially engaged artist inspired by documented social history to serve as a platform for modern day reflection on society. Education is a core motivation for her practice, which centers on securing a sense of place. Questions of cultural identity and belonging to place as an English woman living in Ireland triggered her initial investigation into marrying art and history. Her practice encompasses both educational and community settings which include exhibitions, installation, video, painting, performance and public commissions.
Materials needed for this workshop: paper, pencils, colouring pencils, markers, tracing paper, and a rubber.
