Paul Timoney presents

Portraits & Poetry Family Workshop

Bookings through Box Office on 01-2724030

Would you like to create some work and have it exhibited in Mermaid's gallery in the autumn?

Join artist Paul Timoney for a fun workshop in which kids will draw and paint pictures of their grandparents or other people special to them. Paul will help the children to express their feelings through pictures and words as they create poems to describe the things they might have missed about the loved ones that they didn’t get to see throughout the lockdown. These creations will be displayed both on Mermaid's website and in Mermaid's gallery in the autumn as part of our Portraits & Poetry exhibition.

In line with government guidelines a maximum booking of 6 people from no more than 3 households can be seated together. (Each table needs an accompanying guardian).

At the end of the workshop the kids will leave their creations in Mermaid for mounting in the gallery.

Age suitability 4 - 12 years.

Please note that strict Covid-19 protocols will be in place for this workshop. Capacity is very limited. The seats at Mermaid have been folded back to create a large workshop space in the auditorium. Tables will be spaced out for the workshop to ensure strict compliance with social distancing. Mermaid asks all adults making a booking to ensure they adhere to best practice and government advice regarding Covid-19.

Adults and over 13s must wear a mask. Materials for the workshops will be provided and will be individually packaged in advance to ensure the safety of all participants.

Come, create and have fun! Your work will be displayed in our exhibition space in the autumn!

To Book please phone box office on 01-2724030
