Ride A Cock Horse

The horse’s story is the story of this land. Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity! Here, where grace is laced with muscle and strength by gentleness confined.

Ride A Cock Horse is a celebration of horses and riders using words, songs and comedy to produce a unique show, brought to life by a cast of thirty performers.

The show celebrates the horse’s story, including it’s role as horse power on the farms and roads of Ireland, and it’s more modern roles in both competition and in equine therapy for those with intellectual and physical challenges.

At the registered charity Festina Lente in Bray we help over 400 students each week using equine therapy to empower their progress. Some of our students will be appearing in our programme, alongside staff and friends of Festina Lente.

The show is directed and scripted by William Micklem, who has spent a lifetime celebrating the empowering role of the horse in our lives. It is quite simply a brilliantly entertaining evening.

This show is in aid of Festina Lente.
