Pat Pitsenbarger (Udo Kier) was a popular hairdresser and drag performer in a small Ohio town, but he’s now confined to a nursing home following a stroke. When his estranged friend and former customer Rita dies, she leaves Pat $25,000 in her will. The only condition? He has to do Rita’s hair and make up for the funeral. Despite his frail condition, Pat sneaks out of the nursing home and sets off to complete one last haircut.

Swan Song is a funny, lively and tender film based on a real-life person from filmmaker Todd Stephens’ hometown. You’ve never seen Udo Kier quite like this - his flamboyant yet vulnerable performance as Pat is one of the most remarkable of his long career.
