Tradition in The Royal Court
Irish music and musicians were prized in Renaissance Europe. This special concert explores the marriage of Irish and European music from the 16th and 17th centuries. Featuring celebrated musicians from the traditional, classical and early music worlds performing music by Dowland, O Catháin, and from the traditional canon. Paula Murrihy (Mezzo Soprano), Eamonn Bonner (Tenor), Cormac Breatnach (Sustato Whistles), Colm Mac Con Iomaire (Violin) and Eamon Sweeney (Lute, Early Guitars)
This concert is curated by Eamon Sweeney, Music Network Artist in Residence 2018 an initiative of Music Network in partnership with Wicklow County Council Arts Office and Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre.
