YARN Story Circle

Join us for a relaxed storytelling circle upstairs in the Town Hall.

Our guest teller, Micheál Rowsome, will launch our monthly storytelling story circle and then open to the floor. No pressure to tell - listeners welcome!

The YARN Story Circle will take place on the first Wednesday of the month from February to June and then in September and October before culminating in a Story Swap at the YARN Storytelling Festival.

Venue: Upstairs in the Town Hall (enter by the door opposite the Credit Union).

Micheál Head Shot

Micheál is a fool and finally happy to be called one. Is he a Leprechaun? Maybe. Certainly closely related.

Full of mistakes he has fumbled his way through life unlearning and remembering along the way…Ugh, the cringe!

The creative arts play a big part of his life whether it be through live performances, visual art, or other collaborative art projects.

He wants his life force and work to uplift himself and those around him, to be able to see clearly and fully celebrate life - this after many years of being dragged and dragging himself through many dark and difficult periods.

He studied with the shaman Dermot O’Hara for several years.

He went off to Berlin and did crazy dancing, movement, and performance with SMASH Berlin.

He is learning the ways of the Fool with Jonathan Kay and the Nomadic Academy for Fools.

He makes art, dances, tells stories, acts, performs, sings, and plants seeds, all with varying quality and success.
