Playthings

This one was for the children, both old and young. For once visitors were invited to touch, feel, and even play with the exhibits. A selection of artists had been asked to produce work which children can engage with, quite literally. Whether it's admiring the shapes, colours, and textures, or simply interacting with a piece of art, all were welcome to come along and have some fun. Playthings was curated by textile artist and jeweller Angela O'Kelly and artist Caroline McCarthy. It was a collaboration between Draiocht and Crafts Council of Ireland.
