This week we are delighted to welcome Grace Morgan, Laoise Murray and William Dunleavy to Mermaid developing their new theatre piece B(l)oom - a monologue play set in Dublin. It centres on two young women - one attending her sister’s wedding and the other working at the wedding - who become involved in a supernatural disaster devastating Dublin city. The play charts their journey from the Powerscourt Hotel, through Donnybrook and into the city centre, ending on O’Connell Bridge. The piece is a response to contemporary anxieties around personal security and global warming told in an increasingly fractured style. It has been co-created by Grace Morgan, Laoise Murray and William Dunleavy and will be performed in the Pearse Centre from the 15th-17th November 2018.
