Conclave

When the Pope dies suddenly, Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes), Dean of the College of Cardinals, must oversee one of the world’s most antient and secretive processes – selecting the new Pontiff. As the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders gather together in isolation within the Vatican halls to hold the conclave, Cardinal Lawrence finds himself at the centre of a web of conspiracies where secrets, sabotage and revelations emerge.

Based on Robert Harris’s novel, Conclave is a riveting, religious thriller, packed with twists and turns. Directed by Oscar-winner Edward Bergers (All Quiet on The Western Front), it boasts an astonishing supporting cast including Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini - all at the top of their game.

Tomris Laffly, AV Club

‘Conclave weaves an engrossing tale that always seems to have one more twist left up its billowy sleeves than you’re expecting.’

Ross McIndoe, Slant Magazine
