Kneecap

When fate brings Belfast teacher JJ into the orbit of self-confessed ‘low-life scum... (is roped in to act as Liam Og Irish language interpreter during a Police interrogation) he happens upon Liam and childhood friend Naoise’s raw lyrical prose. Rapping in their native Irish, KNEECAP fast become the unlikely figure heads of a Civil Rights movement to save their mother tongue..

Musically daring, anarchic and fun, the trio dodge police harassment, paramilitaries, and their own chaotic lifestyle to 'change the sound of Irish music forever.' A fiercely original sex, drugs, and hip-hop biopic, Kneecap play themselves, with Michael Fassbender in tow, producing a global rallying cry for the defence of native cultures.
