From Landscape

From Landscape was an exhibition of twenty-nine largescale landscape drawings commissioned by Mermaid from some of the most eminent artists working in Ireland today. By inviting a wide range of artists to each engage with their landscape in their own personal and idiosyncratic way, the exhibition aimed to propose the enduring relevance of landscape imagery today and to celebrate that most primary of all art activities: Drawing. This exhibition was commissioned by the Mermaid Arts Centre and toured to the Limerick City Gallery of Art and to the Crawford Art Gallery, Cork.
