Glendarragh Studios was founded in 1999 in response to the growing shortage of quality studio space within easy reach of Dublin. The first four purpose built studios were built with the help of LEADER, (European funding for rural Development) and a further four studios were added in 2002.

Just 35kms south of Dublin and situated in a beautiful rural valley in North County Wicklow, the Studios are surrounded by farmland. Its artists have access to three kilns for ceramic or glass work, hand and power tools, and a print studio.
