Forage + Light Zine Launch

On March 14th Samuel Arnold Keane and Kasia Kaminska released their collaborative zine publication “forage + light / seilg + solas“ at Mermaid! The publication is the cumulative work from forage and printmaking workshops which were held from November 2024 to August 2025.

The group met for their final forage along Bray beach, marking the end of the Forage & Light workshop series, before returning to Mermaid's foyer for tasty foraged snacks and to officially launch the new zine!

The group reflected back at the year long series run by Arnold Keane and Kaminska, where they gathered along the Bray coastline and in Mermaid's multi-purpose room, foraging edible seaweeds, plants, seeds and learning plant based printmaking techniques, anthotype, cyanotype, kelp ink, etc.

The zine celebrates the collective walks and artworks with recipes, and collage of artworks - inspired by the cycles of the Celtic year.

Copies of the zine will be available at the Mermaid Box Office in the coming weeks!
