Spanish Ambassador Visits Our Exhibition

Last Friday Mermaid had the pleasure of welcoming the Spanish Ambassador Teresa Lizaranzu, Deputy Head of Mission Cristian Font Calderón and Instituto Cervantes Cultural Manager Laura Martín on Friday 24th April to see artist Elida Maiques’ current exhibition, A Playful River.

The interactive installation acts as Elida Maiques' temporary studio, where a durational drawing experiment invites participants to join the artist in creating a monumental artwork using handmade inks. Ever evolving, the work features a 20 metre scroll of paper, where the artist and members of the public continue to contribute. 

The next (and final) drop in drawing day is Friday May 1st at 11am – 12.30pm, a perfect artistic warm up for Bray International Jazz Festival weekend.
