3D Scanning Workshop with 1iing Heaney

€30 per person, tea + coffee included.
To coincide with her exhibition World Without End, the artist 1iing heaney hosts this Experimental 3D scanning workshop aimed at artists, makers, and life long learners.
Using clay, paper, wire, and other materials (feel free to bring along any materials you'd like to work with too!), participants are invited to make physical sculptures that will be 3D scanned using your phone, with a process called photogrammetry. These digitised sculptures will then be placed in a digital replica of the Mermaid Arts Centre Gallery (curated by Mermaid's Anne Mullee)
Laptops are not required, but if you would like to bring along your own computer, please download the latest version of the 3D modelling programmes Blender and Reality Capture, and bring a 3 button mouse.
This workshop is limited to a maximum of 10 people.
