Gap Day Artists 2025

We are so delighted to introduce you to our 2025 Gap Day artists!

All 40 of these incredible freelance theatre-makers have been chosen to take part in Gap Day, an initiative by Lian Bell in collaboration with Mermaid Arts Centre.

The Gap Day programme is a unique opportunity for independent artists working in theatre, across the island of Ireland, to get the time and space to dream, think and plan that is often impossible for freelance workers to carve out.

The participants will be paid for their time and hosted by over 40 venues, arts centres and cultural organisations local to them.

A packed lunch, as well as access to monthly drop-in online gatherings, one-to-one coaching and more are all available to our Gap Dayers.
