Jazz Ensemble

In 2016 Mermaid established a Youth Jazz Ensemble in partnership with Matthew Jacobson and Music Generation Wicklow. The ensemble met for 10 weeks starting January 2017 playing jazz and other music genre under the guidance of tutors Matthew Jacobson and Paula McCarthy. The 10 participants were aged between 12-18 years and interested in learning jazz and improvisation.
