Karen Gleeson
Karen has developed 15 minutes of a work which is a complex and stunningly beautiful look at how people survive and overcome difficulties. The piece is called ‘Hear My Hands’ and Karen is working with service users in Bray Lakers and CRC as well as collaborating with Dermot Marrey and Eoin Murphy.
In 2018 Karen worked on developing the piece as a new multi-disciplinary collaborative film installation. Karen presented film installation as part of An Evening with Our Dance Artists on Wednesday 17th October. Fusing dance, audio and video projection the work explores the use of sign language and movement as a form of communication. Delving into the frustration and difficulties involved with miscommunication in relationships. 'What we've got here is a failure to communicate.'
