Storyteller in Residence

Paul Timoney

Paul Timoney worked for eight weeks with students in New Court School & St Andrew’s National School. Paul is a storyteller, artist, teacher and general maker of things. Paul has performed previously at our YARN Festival where he facilitated a fun workshop titled Beautiful Beautiful Bugs. Throughout his residency, Paul invited pupils to respond to each other’s’ drawings, writings, stories, poems and other endeavours, in order to build an unbelievably brilliant story-related-something, which came about as result of the creative-conversation between the schools. We completed this Storyteller in Residence programme during YARN Storytelling Festival Bray in November. It culminated in a wonderful animation made by the students with Paul, which was presented to their families and peers in an event in Mermaid Arts Centre. Check out the wonderful animation below.
