Wheelchair Accessible Positions in Auditorium
Our auditorium can cater for up to 14 wheelchair spaces. These wheelchair accessible spaces are located in the front row on the ground floor. The auditorium is fully accessible from the foyer. We hold a number of wheelchair accessible places for each event but as a lot of our events sell out in advance, please contact our box office as soon as possible so that we can accommodate you. Please let us know if you have any special requirements, whether you require a seat for a carer and the size of your wheelchair. The box office staff will do their best to accommodate all of your requirements ensuring you an enjoyable visit to Mermaid.

Loop System
Mermaid Arts Centre has a Loop System in the auditorium. If you require any assistance or information please contact a member of our front of house team on the evening.

Accessible Toilet Facilities
Mermaid Arts Centre has accessible toilet facilities on the ground floor of the building. These facilities cater for most wheelchair sizes. Mermaid is currently striving to upgrade the facilities to cater for all wheelchair sizes.

Baby Changing
Mermaid has baby changing facilities on the ground floor.

Ramp
The Building can be easily accessed from the main street via ramp or from the underground car park via a lift. We have an automated door at the front of the building.

Disabled Parking
There are a number of disabled parking spots behind the Bray Municipal District building. Unfortunately these cannot be reserved for our patrons.

Lift
Mermaid Arts Centre has a lift from the café providing access to the gallery, offices and multipurpose spaces.

Guide and Hearing Dogs
Guide and Hearing Dogs are welcome to attend performances with their users. Let us know when you are booking and we can give you an aisle seat with space for your dog.

Facilities

Auditorium
Mermaid Arts Centre contains a 242 seat auditorium which hosts a wide variety of music, theatre dance and a state-of-the-art digital film projector with full surround sound. The intimate auditorium is an end-on proscenium theatre with 11 rows of 242 retractable seats. With the seating retracted an open hall is created with a red oak sprung floor throughout. The stage comprises a removable black plywood deck 40mm above fixed floor. Multi Purpose Room

A wide variety of groups make regular use of our multi-purpose room which is suitable for everything from small meetings to painting workshops. For more information on our multipurpose room or to make a booking please contact admin@mermaidartscentre.ie

Gallery
Our airy and bright gallery has a total floor space of 165sq meters. It hosts on average 5-8 exhibitions per annum. It can also accommodate small scale corporate functions, to make a booking please contact venuehire@mermaidartscentre.ie
