Lunfardia

Formed in Dublin in 2004 by Argentinean musician Ariel Hernandez, Lunfardia became a regular presence at venues and festivals around Ireland, performing an exciting mix of Latin American songs and dance tunes. The passionate and soulful singing of Hernandez, combined with his eclectic jazz-folk guitar style, blended perfectly with the violin, bass, accordion and percussion of the ensemble in Ariel’s own intricate arrangements.

In 2010 Ariel returned to live in his native Argentina, and the band went on hiatus. Following their warmly received reunion at Mermaid in 2025, Lunfardia now return to delight Irish audiences with their signature Latin panache and flair.
