Power Ballad

American musician Rick Power is the singer of a wedding band, having given up on dreams of stardom to live a family life in Ireland. At a wedding, he meets Danny Wilson-a famous boy band member now embarking on a solo career. Immediately striking up a rapport, they spend a long night working on music together. Months later, Danny has a new hit song-but Rick is shocked to discover it’s a song he wrote. With Danny seemingly refusing to acknowledge the song’s origins, Rick risks it all to fight for a song writing credit that could change his life. 

John Carney’s delightful new film is a worthy follow up to his previous hits like Once and Sing Street.
