Little Bray Writers Group

Stepping Stones (8pm)

Enter the world of Killruddery Gardens through the stories and song of the Little Bray Writers Group. The magic of Killruddery is transmitted through these lovely responses. Strolling through the gardens, aided by the appeal of nature, these writers create interpretations of what this place of beauty has to offer. Stepping Stones is a thoughtful response to a part of Bray that has retained its strong links with the local community, over the centuries.

About Stepping Stones

“Stepping Stones" is a creative writing series of five workshops facilitated by Carmen Cullen. The inspiration of the series is to connect the Little Bray community with Kilruddery through shared historical and environmental exploration. The project emerged through the Little Bray Writers Group interest in preserving and promoting their local heritage. Key to this is the influence of the Brazabon family on the history and its connection to Little Bray. E.g. The People’s Park was donated to the people of Bray by the Brabazon family. There are also streets in Little Bray that have names connected with Killruddery. Once again, this old link is being re-established by the Stepping Stones project.
