Sunphlowers

Catherine (Anne McCrudden) is stuck in an unhappy marriage, until one day her husband suddenly collapses and dies. Before long, the depth of her husband’s debt becomes clear and the bank begins threatening to seize the family farm. Meanwhile, a chance encounter with her old friend Tony (Patrick Bergin) prompts Catherine to join a local art class. There, she rediscovers her long-suppressed passion for painting, and one particularly inspiring creation drives her to rebuild the failing farm as a sunflower business. With a massive debt burden to overcome, she faces a race against time to make the reimagined farm work.

Shot in beautiful locations across south County Dublin, Sunphlowers is a deeply affecting tale of healing and empowerment.
