There's something about the Hares: A WhatsApp Ghost Story' invites audiences to interact with a research student named Alice, who is currently based on the isolated Giorria island off the west of Ireland. While researching the Hares on Giorria Island Alice begins to experience some strange and unexplainable events. With no one else but you to talk too, Alice shares her story and fears as these spooky events escalate. Can you help her?

‘There’s something about the Hares: A WhatsApp Ghost Story’ is a one to one, at-home experience that will take place on WhatsApp. Produced in collaboration with Mermaid Arts Centre Yarn Storytelling Festival. The performance will take place in a private WhatsApp conversation and you will be interacting live with an unknown person, the performance will incorporate text messages, images, voice notes and videos. Your responses and interactions have a direct impact on how the story plays out, so choose wisely, someone's life may depend on it.

Emily Gillmor Murphy is an award winning dyslexic Irish writer and theatre maker. Over her decade long career she has produced multiple stage plays, radio plays, audio drama’s, podcasts, fiction novels and site-specific theatre. Her work has been produced and published nationally and internationally with Penguin Random House, Druid International Theatre Company, RTE Radio, Newstalk FM and many more. Her work has been funded and supported by the Arts Council Ireland, Coimisiun na Mean, Wicklow Arts Office and Arts and Disability Ireland. Emily uses dark humour and fantasy to create flawed but beautiful characters and stories.
