Co. Galway, 1975. In Glanaphuca village, locals - including barwoman Peggy - are preparing for an influx of out-of-towners for a busy fishing weekend. The mood abruptly changes, however, when a woman’s body washes up in the local man-made lake. Some residents are certain the body must have come from the old village cemetery. Detective Frank Ryan-sent from Dublin to investigate the body’s sudden appearance-is not convinced. He teams up with Peggy to act as a guide and solve the mystery. In the process, they uncover unsettling truths about some of the locals and the events of decades past...
