Leaves
Inspired by the book by Stephen Hogtun.
In the last year of its long life, an old oak tree delights in the emergence of a young sapling. The old oak, keen to share the benefits of its time on earth, watches, guides and nurtures the young sapling, teaching it to thrive, survive and be truly alive in the world, aided by some mischievous squirrels.
Inspired by the beautiful picture book by Stephen Hogtun, Leaves is a new show from Branar about learning how to be in the world and those who guide us all through.
This non-verbal adaptation combines stunning puppetry, a signature original score by Colm Mac Con Iomaire, sumptuous design by Maeve Clancy and sensitive direction by Marc Mac Lochlainn.
Leaves is published by Bloomsbury Publishing Plc.
