Stories from the Penny Farthing

Join us on the plaza in front of Mermaid with Lempen Puppet Theatre Company for traditional storytelling with puppets. Suitable for all ages, there will be two double-bill performances at 11am and 1pm. Each performance will feature two 20 minutes shows, so approximately 40 minutes in total. Free, no booking required.

PENNY AND THE FAR THING
Basically a cyclic story set on a penny farthing bicycle, that celebrates the cycle of the
Seasons. A charming nature story about growing up and becoming ready to find your path and to live your best life.

THE FISHER AND HIS WIFE
Once there lived a fisherman, together with his wife, in a small cottage made of dirty old
metal. They had everything they ever needed and were happy and content … until one day a talking fish starts granting them wishes …
