Indoor Events at Mermaid

Mermaid is delighted to finally be able to welcome our audience back again for indoor events and we welcome the easing of restrictions for the arts and entertainment sector.

We wish to reassure our customers that increases in capacity at events at Mermaid will be gradual and that all necessary precautions will be taken and guidelines followed to ensure the safety of our audience, performers and the Mermaid team.

The most recent easing of restrictions allows venues to increase capacity to 60% from Monday 6^th September, once all patrons are fully vaccinated. Otherwise, the current guidelines of 50 people remain. From 22 October all capacity restrictions are set to be lifted.

The team at Mermaid have considered the above implications for shows already on sale and performances about to come on sale for the autumn and winter season and have decided on a measured hybrid approach as follows:

• All indoor events programmed for September will remain at the original set capacity of 50 people, with all social distancing measures in place and with both vaccinated and unvaccinated allowed to attend, with the exception of three events – Paddy Casey on 23^rd September, The Four of Us on 24^th September and The Rob Strong Band on 25^th September.
• These three events will switch to a slightly increased capacity to accommodate additional customers wishing to book. It is important to note that for these three events vaccination certificates are compulsory in line with the government guidelines.
• From 1 October until 21 October inclusive, all events will have increased capacity and patrons must show vaccination certificates in line with government guidelines.
• Under the current guidelines, from 22 October onwards all restrictions will be lifted and Mermaid will return to full capacity with no vaccination certificates required.
